Scamp no longer with us

Sorry to say that Scamp was taken ill on 14 March 2008 and had to be put to sleep.
I cannot express how devastated I am.
He was thirteen and a half and had had a heart problem for some time, he seemed well upto the end, but one day he was fine the next he was gone.
I thank him for the fantastic companionship he gave to me and the family, we could not have wished for a better friend, a true member of the family.
Life must start again without him.
The picture was taken on our last trip in the canoe end of Febuary on Barton Broad Norfolk.

When I done the outer stem I had all the resine on ready to clamp, then discovered the smaller clamps used for the inner where not big enough to go over both! 'panic'!!!.
I had a friends help and we clamped and screwed .

Router Jig

Here is the router jig I devised © HTS 2006
Base about 500mm long min.
Cut strips of ply as packer under gunnels to stop splitting on under side.

Fit guides to router
The gunnels are trapped between guides clamped down at ends of base.

Screw stops at limit of travel move these for every cut out.
